La Césarine
The gîte La Césarine is a traditional High Jura farm that dates back to 1810 and was once a wood-turning workshop. You will enjoy vast gardens with trees and flowers, located in a calm and quiet environment (hamlet of Vichaumois); this gîte has been restored in the style of old buildings using natural materials and offers an unspoilt and authentic living environment.
For Catherine, the owner, the choice to transform this family farm into a holiday gîte and open it to the public is the result of her desire to keep this heritage asset in good condition. Being very attached to the farm, and its natural and cultural environment, and interested in helping you to discover its heritage, she has naturally adhered to the Gîte Panda label for over 10 years.
In terms of discovery and nature activities, the gîte benefits from its proximity to Saint-Claude and Moirans-en-Montagne, as well as to Ravilloles. It is located along the GR9 route (St-Amour-Mijoux section) and on the PR trail of the Angelon combe. In the winter, the Crozets and Prénovel sites will allow you to enjoy snow activities without travelling long distances.
