When purchased, this building was in ruins and underwent 10 years of complete restoration works respecting its traditional construction whilst meeting current tourist accommodation standards (comfort, space, luminosity). Mrs Mouton has ensured that her project is in harmony with its natural and human surroundings in many ways: consulting with an architect to retain and harness the farm’s features, turning to local artisans for works, managing the area to limit noise pollution (parking away from the building) and visual nuisances (low walls in local stone, use of local species of decorative shrubs, etc.), making breakfasts with natural, organic and local products only, promoting non-motorised sports activities, etc.
